Classic Watchtower Publications

Following are classic Watchower publications and articles available for download. Quite unusually, (though not surprising when compared to "current" truth) the Watchtower Society no longer prints or distributes these classic works that are part of its historic foundation. Bible Students, however, continue to print and make available the Studies in the Scriptures - Series I - VI and other works of Russell. Research enthusiasts have also scanned and made available other original publications in electronic format.

Studies In the Scriptures

Studies in the Scriptures have been released in a number of editions and covers, and were also released as the Millenial Dawn.

In the 1926 edition Rutherford's predictions for 1920 have been edited out.

The Finished Mystery discusses the book of Revelation, is filled with bizarre teachings and a large portion of the interpretations are now considered wrong by Jehovah's Witnesses. It was written after Russell's death by Rutherford, and hence not accepted as being of any doctrinal merit by either Jehovah's Witnesses or Bible Students.

Millions Now Living Will Never Die

Millions Now Living Will Never Die was released in 1920, based on a talk first given in 1918. This was a classic work of Rutherford that discussed his Zionist stance and belief that the earthly resurrection of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would begin in 1925. Funeral Talk Discourse talk outline for Witness Funerals. This is very much a marketing pitch for the Watchtower Society and it's beliefs, with very little mention of the deceased. Included is the statement that "Instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth."
